About Sonder
A quieter way to be witnessed.
Sonder is a publicly anonymous witness platform for short, reflective sharing. People can leave traces and acknowledge one another without building profiles, collecting followers, or competing for public popularity.
How Sonder works
You can leave a trace: a brief observation, quiet thought, or moment you want to mark. Other people can respond with a small witness signal such as seen, felt, or same. These signals are acknowledgement, not a public score or an invitation to perform.
The feed is chronological and finite. Sonder does not use public likes, follower counts, popularity scores, or a recommendation algorithm. It is designed for witnessing rather than holding attention.
Public anonymity, with clear limits
Other users do not see your email, profile, or trace history. Sonder associates activity with an account internally so it can enforce ownership, support safety work, and honor export and deletion requests.
Sonder is not therapy, emergency assistance, or a continuously monitored crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency or professional crisis services.
